Periodontal Maintenance

This is an important tool in the fight against periodontal disease. Once diagnosed with periodontal disease, unfortunately this disease can never be cured because it is multifactorial and has burst of disease activity. The primary goal of the periodontal maintenance is to prevent disease reactivation and prevent further loss of bone and gum tissue from around the teeth. This appointment also gives your periodontist an opportunity to adjust your oral hygiene routine if improvement is needed. It also allows us to catch pockets before they become very deep as treatment can be rendered. Periodontal maintenance appointments are normally alternating between your dentist and our offer.
