An oral cancer screening is a crucial part of the comprehensive exam completed at each maintenance appointment and any consult appointment. What this screening does is closely examine the hard or soft tissue for any abnormalities This allows us to catch suspicious areas that could potentially develop into oral cancer. Without this part of the exam tissues can change and develop into larger lesions or even oral cancer.
