Arestin

Arestin is a local delivery antibiotic that can be used for pockets that display inflammation and bleeding during the examination. The minocycline microspheres slowly release the antibiotic over about 10 days and help reduce the levels of bacteria. Arestin can be used in conjunction with scaling and root planing or can be used if a localized pocket is found during a maintenance or exam appointment.
