Timothy W. Godsey, D.D.S., M.S., P.A.

Dr. Godsey is originally from Lynchburg, Virginia and earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland in 1985. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland in 1989. He completed his postgraduate periodontal training as well as a Masters in Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992.

Dr. Godsey was awarded Diplomate status by the American Board of Periodontology in 2001. The American Board of Periodontology is recognized by the American Dental Association as the national certifying board for the dental specialty of Periodontics. The Board awards Diplomate status upon those who, after two to three years of postdoctoral advanced specialty training at an accredited institution, successfully complete a two part examination which consists of a comprehensive written examination, and an oral examination which includes documented case reports.
